    Dear Lama Jigme,

The DVD's are designed for people to study who don't have a teacher.  They are detailed and explain each aspect of Tai-chi thoroughly.  I would also suggest the books, "Movements of Magic" and "Movements of Power" so that you get a background in the ideas behind the training.  All aspects of Tai-chi are in harmony with each other.  The healing and the fighting are based on the same principles of being aware of the connection of energy between you and the other person.  Each aspect reinforces the others in your training.

The weekly lessons on the home page of the "Community" serve to add to this basic understanding.  And this section, the "Forum" are to answer any questions arising from training with the DVD's, books and reading the weekly lessons.  So we try to have all the bases covered.

    Best wishes in your practice.

    Bob
